Caroline Gorski advises, writes on and speaks about the impact of technology on our everyday lives. She has experienced a thirty-year career at the forefront of emerging technologies, including data-driven decision-making, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. She has been in the early-hire or founding teams of five start-ups, held C-Suite positions in two corporate spin-outs and has built nearly £2bn revenue in new business lines from digital innovations.
Biography
Caroline advises, writes and speaks about the impact of technology on everyday life, drawing on a 30-year career at the forefront of emerging technologies such as the mobile internet, IoT, data-driven decision-making, machine learning, AI, autonomous systems and immersive digital environments. She has advised organisations including NATO, the UK security services, the NHS and global financial, medical and engineering sectors on AI risk and mitigation, and from 2017 to 2023 led data analytics and artificial intelligence at Rolls-Royce.
In 2021, Caroline gave evidence to the House of Lords Risk Assessment and Risk Planning Committee on emerging technology and AI risk, and served on the UNESCO high-level expert panel that contributed to the global Recommendations on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. Over her executive career she has led major technology innovation programmes across sectors including media, telecoms, financial services, aerospace, defence and the public sector, and has held CEO roles at the R2 Factory for Rolls-Royce and Capital Enterprise.
Today, Caroline is co-founder and partner at Cerestrial LLP, a founding advisor to Faster Climate Impact, and a member of the UK Government’s APPG on Artificial Intelligence. She continues to advise and coach organisations while speaking internationally on technology, risk and innovation. A strong advocate for women in STEM and a lifelong supporter of the arts, she combines deep technical experience with a storyteller’s perspective shaped by her background in History and Literature.
