At Pomona Partners we’re extremely cautious about the use of AI in the expert speaking industry. We believe that the greatest value our speakers bring is through original stories told in a human to human context. It’s the desire for this type of content and experience that is driving the resurgence of live events, and that is at the core of a successful speaking career. Excessive use of AI, VR and other digital tools can really detract from that proposition, diminishing originality, disconnecting us from each other, and driving communication styles towards a bland mean.
However, AI does have real power as a natural user interface for information discovery, when fed with the right training data and fixed within the proper guide rails. Mona is powered exclusively by Pomona Partners’ own training materials and data from the platform, with AI just providing the conversational interface. The advice you get from Mona is not advice you will get anywhere else. And nothing you share will be stored outside of the Pomona Partners platform or used for training another AI.
