What we do for our speakers

What does a speaker agency do for its speakers? As an experienced speaker I’ve found that every agency is a little bit different. So here’s our commitment to the speakers on our books: this is what you can expect.

Pomona Partners has been created to do three things:

Representation: We represent our speakers to prospective customers.

That means:

  • Negotiating the best possible fee & collecting payment - chasing if needed

  • Supplying the customer with information about you and how you work best

  • Providing a detailed briefing for you, and handling any admin, logistics and contractual wrangling

Promotion: We actively promote speakers to potential customers and support them in their own promotional activities.

That means:

  • Running web, email and social media campaigns, marketing our clients to our growing database of past and potential customers

  • Researching and contacting new prospective customers who we feel will be a good fit for our speakers

  • Coaching our speakers to improve their marketing outreach and providing access to our network of trainers and service providers

Development: We want every speaker on our books to continue to develop, wherever they are in their career.

That means:

  • Growing a shared database of advice and guidance on all aspects of a speaking/writing/presenting career that every client can benefit from

  • Offering access to experienced professionals for one-to-one coaching in key areas of career development

  • Running peer-to-peer development groups to help speakers to overcome shared issues

Note, that this is very much one side of a contract. We also place expectations on the speakers on our books in return.
