David trained in photography and audio-visual production. He set up The Regent Slide Company in 1986 and spent years producing thousands of 35mm slides for many and varied businesses. But it was spending time sitting in audiences listening to professional speakers that brought home the realisation that even good speakers produce bad slides. And now he’s on a crusade to eradicate excruciatingly boring visual communications and to teach people how to produce slides and presentations that wow their audiences and that make their talks memorable and effective.

Coaching options

We have four options available for you to work with Dave.

Option 1: Video Audit

A video audit of an existing slide presentation. Send your slide deck with script or notes on what you are talking about to Dave for an honest critique on video. The video will be uploaded to YouTube on an unlisted URL for privacy.

Option 2: Template Development

A slide template. This will be a simplified template (compared to PowerPoint’s in-built templates) that will cover all of the presenter’s requirements and will typically consist of: -

• Title slide

• Content slide

• Full picture slide

• Half picture and half content slide

• Section divider slide

Other layouts can be added for an extra cost. This option includes a video that explains the use of the template along with some hints and tips.

Option 3: Presentation Design

The full design and production of a presentation. This will be quoted on a per-job basis as the cost can vary widely and is dependent on a number of things.

Option 4: Bespoke Classes

If you prefer to be trained to make your slides yourself, Dave offers both a masterclass and an online course.
