Our feedback engine has been live for a few months now but for various reasons I’ve only had a lot of cause to use it in the last few weeks. And although I’m totally biased, I have to say, I love it!
As a reminder, this is a tool that is available to ALL Pomona Partners speakers and you can use it for ALL your gigs - not just the ones booked through us.
It’s very simple to use. Click on the ‘Manage Events’ button to get started.

Hit the ‘New’ button to create a new event.

Then simply fill in your event’s details. Add the event’s name and date, put in a Thank You message that people will see after leaving feedback.

You can upload your slide deck or any other materials you want to share (we suggest keeping file sizes small, so upload a PDF rather than a PPT, for example. But you may want to come back to this step (you can edit the event at any time), for reasons that will become clear.
Finally, choose if you want to allow people to message you and connect on LinkedIn.
Once you save and publish, it will take you back to the list of events. Click on the QR Code link for the event you’re working on and it will download your unique QR code for this event.

Your QR code represents a unique URL that displays a form for your audience to fill out, based on your choices in the previous step. All they have to do is point their phone cameras at it and then click the link that pops up.
You can embed this QR code in your presentation, like this:

Or if you're not doing a slide deck - e.g. for an after dinner speech - put it on your phone, like this:

I've found people incredidbly willing to give feedback this way. I've had more reviews in the last month than I've had in the last five years! And the Engine allows them to upload photos and videos too. Remember to encourage uploading in your talk!
We're not the only people to offer a tool like this. The most famous is Talkadot.
Talkadot does have a free tier. And - for now - it probably has some more features as well. But on the free tier you can only collect a maximum of 50 audience email addresses (ours is unlimited). And Talkadot will take 30% of any speaking gigs you're found for through their platform - that's on top of any agent fees.
The next tier on Talkadot is $149 a year, but this is still limited to 250 addresses. After that you're looking at $588/year.
If you've used Talkadot and the Feedback Engine then we'd love to hear from you about what we can add and improve. We already have a lot of ideas though! And we'll be refining things as the platform evolves.
Mostly though, we'd just love to see you all using it. Honestly, it's great!
