Biography

Neil Edge is a mental performance speaker who helps leadership teams prevent burnout, lead through personal adversity, and improve cognitive performance in high-pressure environments. His approach blends lived experience, scientific insight, and elite coaching practice, showing that resilience is not reactive, but a trainable mental skill that underpins sustained success.

Standing 6’9”, Neil brings a commanding yet calm presence to every stage. His talks are grounded in real-world psychology, lived adversity, and elite athletic discipline. As an ultra-endurance athlete and mental performance coach to professional triathletes, he has spent years studying how the mind functions under extreme fatigue and prolonged cognitive load. That insight now shapes how he helps executives think, decide, and perform more effectively when the pressure never stops.

In 2023, Neil was diagnosed with cancer, a challenge that tested every tool he had developed for athletes and leaders. Across seven months of chemotherapy, he applied the same psychological frameworks he teaches today: compartmentalisation, cognitive reframing, and nervous system control. His recovery was not just physical; it became a powerful demonstration of how mental performance strategies help individuals maintain stability, clarity, and belief in the face of uncertainty.

That lived experience brings a depth and authenticity few speakers can match. Neil does not speak about motivation or mindset in vague terms; he shows audiences how to build internal systems that make composure repeatable. His philosophy is simple: resilience is not about bouncing back; it is about being prepared before challenges arise.

Maximising Mental Resilience:
How Leaders Prevent Burnout

This keynote goes beyond stress management, it’s about building the mental systems that stop burnout before it begins. Drawing from neuroscience, endurance sport, and my experience coaching high-performing leaders, I share practical tools to strengthen cognitive resilience, regulate internal pressure, and protect decision-making capacity before it breaks down.

Adversity Unlocked:
Leading Through Life's Toughest Personal Challenges

Neil equips leaders with practical tools to lead effectively through personal adversity, not just prepare for it. Drawing on lived experience, it explores how to stay composed under pressure, make clear decisions, and lead with controlled vulnerability when challenges are happening behind the scenes. The session shows how difficult periods can be transformed into moments of credibility, growth, and stronger leadership.
