Successful partnerships thrive on transparency. So we aim to be as transparent as possible with the talent we represent, and the bookers we transact with.
Between Pomona Partners and our bookers, we have a standard contract. And between Pomona Partners and the talent we represent, we have this Code of Conduct.
Below you can find a clear and simple guide to what we will do for you, and what we expect from you in your dealings with us, and with those organisations who book you through us.
What you can expect from us
Because we represent people at all stages of their speaking career, our offer is tiered. You can read the full detail of our offer for each tier here. But for everyone, we aim to be honest and transparent at all times, and always represent you to the best of our ability.
Representation
- •We will follow up the leads you provide to us and ensure relevant information is provided to the booker.
- •We will communicate with you to let you know when a booker is interested in your expertise.
- •We will negotiate fees, contract terms and any other requirements on your behalf.
- •We will confirm dates and times and if possible other speaker details with you before confirming the booking.
- •We will ensure terms and fees have been mutually agreed before contracts are signed, and include cancellation fees.
Administration
- •We will provide speaker bios and images when requested by the booker.
- •We will communicate technical requirements to the booker on your behalf.
- •We will endeavour to collect feedback from the booker after the event wherever possible.
- •We will chase payment where necessary.
Development
- •We will provide you with training and development materials to help you to advance your speaking career
- •We will connect you with coaches and third party services to help you improve your proposition, presentation and profile
What we expect from you
We expect you to deal with us, and with bookers, with the same honesty and transparency as we offer you.
Enquiries
- •To introduce us via email if you have a lead that you would like us to negotiate on your behalf.
- •To be available for planning calls with the booker to discuss content and event requirements – to secure the booking.
Bookings
- •Once confirmed, to honour the booking or let us know as soon as possible if there is a problem with the booking.
- •To ensure that you follow the bookers requirements for the event including any required research to ensure your presentation aligns with the approaches, goals, and culture of the business and to professionally apply your expertise to meet the bookers needs.
- •To deliver your slide deck to the booker at the agreed time.
- •To arrive at the venue at the agreed time, or to communicate any issues that arise
- •If the event is remote, to ensure that the systems have been tested in advance where possible - or to highlight any concerns in advance to the booker to prevent issues on the day.
- •To behave and speak in an ethical and professional manner, including not using offensive and/or derogatory language.
- •To ensure you maintain and respect the confidentiality of the business and only share information that has been agreed.
- •To let us know if there has been a problem with the booking so that we can deal with any issues on your behalf.
